Vision 2035 and Beyond

Considering the urgent need for leadership development and the need to strengthen and upgrade SI, the institute has set the following goals for 2035 and beyond:

  • To become one of the leading theological colleges in Assam.
  • To strengthen academic quality and contextual biblical training.
  • To promote holistic leadership development for church and mission.
  • To develop campus facilities for at least 200 students.
  • To build hostels, classrooms, chapel, library, seminar hall, dining hall, faculty and student quarters, guest rooms, and recreation hall.
  • To acquire a larger campus (minimum 7 acres) to support future expansion.
  • To start a residential M.Div. program by 2027–2028 with temporary arrangements.
  • To launch an M.Th. program by 2033 and a doctoral program by 2035.
  • To attain ATA membership by 2027 and B.Th. accreditation by 2029.
  • To receive accreditation from recognized agencies and universities and introduce collaborative programs.
  • To expand the library to more than 30,000 volumes by 2035.
  • To develop digital library and computer facilities.
  • To provide computer education for students with limited computer knowledge.
  • To equip classrooms with smart boards, projectors, and campus-wide Wi-Fi.
  • To expand partnerships with national and international churches and mission organizations.
  • To provide vocational, music, and skill-based training for holistic and community development.
  • To establish a secular school for community transformation.
  • To strengthen and upgrade faculty development.
